The Easiest Cold Brew Coffee

Now that it's getting warmer outside, I started to make cold brew coffee, which is different than iced coffee. Iced coffee is made by brewing regular hot coffee then pouring over ice. I find this to be watery and disappointing. Cold brew coffee is made by steeping cold water directly in the grounds at least 12-24 hours the day before and then pouring over ice. This makes for a much richer flavor and it's not as bitter. There's many more articles that dive deep into the coffee to water ratio, but I'll keep it simple. I like a fairly strong coffee, but I don't want to be knocked out, either. It's more about preference and may require some trial and error before you find a flavor that works for you. The other nice thing about cold brew is that you can make this in advance and have coffee ready for several days.
This makes about 4 cups of coffee.

Ingredients:
4 cups filtered water
1 cup ground coffee of choice
Instructions:
1) Place your grounds in a large container or jar, then add the water
2) Stir well and leave in the fridge for at least 12 hours
3) Pour your coffee through a strainer in another large container, pour a serving over ice and add creamer if desired. Enjoy!
